A Malaysian singer of Chinese descent, Karen Kong amazed her country when she released her debut album "Mulakan" in Malay in January 2007. That was quite a special thing, and she followed that up with more surprises in the same year: first a web concert, then a Mandarin album. Karen's vocal ability and idol potential caught the attention of Universal Music, and the record giant decided to bring her international recognition by re-launching her career in Taiwan. The new album "I'm Karen" serves as an introduction of the rising star to the Chinese music fans. It comes with songs from her first Chinese album "Showtime" plus four new songs, including the first plug "AEIOU" (a remake of The Ting Tings' Great DJ, famously featured in the trailer for Slumdog Millionaire), "Pink Electric Lights", and "Lick the Wounds".
